Serge VAN KHACHE was born november 18, 1946 at Angoulême, the child of a French mother and Asian father. He studied drawing and painting there at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts and in parallel learnt photography with his father. He set up business in Paris as a photographer and retoucher where he worked for the big magazines and the film industry. He returned to Charente in 1977 and decided to painting. His work is part of the movement of visionary painters and his glazing technique is similar to that used by great Flemish masters.
